Bushwhacking
Using a map and compass, you push your way through thickets of bushes on a pathless road. The sense of adventure and excitement is irresistible.
Thorns, bamboo, stone pines, ferns, clingy bugs, vines, fallen trees...no matter what you come across, you can't help but be surprised.
I wanted shin and shoe gaiters that would let me move quickly and stress-free on any terrain. I tried a lot of different ones, but nothing worked! So I searched for fabric, made the parts, and made many prototypes and field tested them over and over again to create my own original gaiters.

Orienteering Flag
There is nothing quite like the joy of finding a flag when the terrain you imagined after reading a map appears exactly as you imagined it, or the joy of getting lost in the mountains and going up and down ridges, going back and forth in streams, and plowing through the bushes before finally finding the flag.
I was inspired by the orange and white flat flag earrings worn by a strong, fast and beautiful racer I met at an adventure race in the US, and I made my own. From there, I came up with the idea for three-dimensional flag earrings.
Holding a map makes me feel good
Hiroki
After trying paragliding and mountain climbing, he became interested in trail running, completed the UTMF in 2015, and his next goal was OMM.
He became obsessed with map reading and participated in adventure races and orienteering almost every week. Even after the race, he would keep looking at the map and muttering to himself. In the fall of 2019, a few days after winning the mixed race at the OMM Straight Elite, the final race of the turbulent racing season, he finally dreamed of becoming a contour line.

Fukiko
Born and raised in Hara Village, 1,300 meters above sea level at the foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains. Unable to forget the fun of participating in an adventure race in his early 20s when invited by a senior, she invited her husband, who was addicted to reading maps, to join the world of adventure racing. She is better at running rough terrain than road.
She likes to use her dexterity and ideas to repair and create gear. Her main job is as a sports trainer with qualifications as a judo therapist and acupuncturist. She sometimes provides treatment during races.

Butterbur
The team name when participating in adventure races. It is derived from Fukiko's name (fukiko). Together with Daz and Shunpei, they will do their best to enjoy the best toast.
KATANA Adventure
The team name when participating in overseas adventure races. It comes from the family name (Nakata). It is easy for people overseas to call and remember.
