KATANA Switchable compass

This is a thumb compass that can also be switched to a wrist compass whenever you like — an original product designed exclusively by KATANA Adventure.

Thanks to a dedicated mold developed for the Switch Compass, the body has a clean, seamless structure with no retrofitted hooks.

When used as a thumb compass, the rubber strap acts as a backup, so there's no risk of it snagging in the bush and getting lost. With the conventional method of holding a thumb compass by the thumb strap alone, there was always a risk of it slipping off when worn over gloves, so many people avoided using one in winter. The rubber strap holds it firmly in place, so it works reliably even with thick gloves.

It switches easily to a wrist compass, which is handy for small tasks like eating snacks, and can also be used while climbing, mountain biking, or paddling.

The capsule is KanPas's top-of-the-line Elite Compass MA-46-FS, giving you dependable performance and improved reliability at high altitude and in cold conditions. A protective silicone cover for the capsule is included.

The clear model features a fine 1mm scale for precise distance measurement. The colored models use our original colorful dial and the KATANA anti-slip belt as well; note that their scale is the conventional 5mm.

The original colorful dial improves visibility and lets you orient the map quickly. The end of the rubber belt has an anti-slip, folded-back stitch to keep it from pulling free.

You can have your name engraved on the front for free (except for the clear model). The back reads "KATANA Adventure." If you attach the L-62 magnifier, the engravable area becomes smaller, so please consult us beforehand. Special designs or patterns may incur an extra charge.

To improve visibility, the northern part of the angle dial has been changed to black.

The separately sold Magnifier L-62 can be attached. However, if significant vibration is applied while in wristwatch compass mode, the magnifier may shake, and the rubber cord or rubber strap securing the magnifier may loosen.
